November 30- December 3 Crazy Haps in the FW

Hey Guys! Did you miss me last week? I was all getting turkeys cooked and eating pie. I did get to squeeze in the Queers show at Lola's which I might tell you about later but for now let's focus on this week's awesomeness.

So according to my stats from my last post you dig it when I just throw a quick post together so here goes.

Tonight is the usual Humpday House Party at The Wherehouse but this week features the aforementioned Air Review and the romantical crooning of Taylor Craig Mills. The theme is Nautical so throw on your Pashmina Afghan and your Flippy Floppys and head out there. It's 12 bucks but BYOB so that sort of balances out.

Maybe I'll dress like this but with a shirt because it's,like, cold outside

Fast Forward to Friday for the Food Truck Park (alliteration! what what) grand opening which is super exciting!!!! If you haven't noticed the whole food truck thing is kind of a big deal in Fort Worth with such noms as Taco Heads, Weiner Man , The Bacon Wagon, and Crazy Sisters. (I am so severely addicted to Taco Heads that they know my name when I get there yeaaa) Well instead of trying to figure out where the trucks will be every day there will be one spot where they stay. Check out their facebook page for their regular hours, but the big opening is Friday  from 6-10 and includes free beer from Rahr! The trucks for now include :
Good Karma Kitchen
YES! Taco
Nammi Truck
Lee's Grilled Cheeses
Red Jett Sweets
Jake's Hamburgers
The park will be right behind Montgomery Plaza on 7th.

After you're full of free beer and food stuffs head down to Berry for the Refugee Bicycle Benefit Show at the Cellar and Stay Wired coffee shop. It's only 10 bucks for both venues and you get to see
At the Cellar:
The Quaker City Nigh Hawks
Secret Ghost Champion
Bird and Gator

Stay wired:
Skeleton Coast ( if i miss them again this week Ima freak out)
Collective Dreams
The Cleanup

( BTDubs the Cleanup just recorded a two song CD with totally awesome handmade CD cover's and will be selling them for only $3 so if you haven't heard them you should go grab one at this show.)

All proceeds go towards giving Bicycles to refugees in the area. Go do something nice for the Christmas season and then maybe Santa will bring you an iPad or something.

For those inclined to Artistic Awesomeness there are two rockin events in Dallas And Fort Worth:

Dallas Observer is Hosting Artopia at Dallas Contemporary. Included in the price are food samples , complimentary bevs, a performance by The Burning Hotels and of course Art!

Meanwhile in Fort Worth cruise back  behind Montogomery Plaza for an event of too epic for this planet: The Homecoming Committee Launch Party. Bring a space item for half off the $10 cover to add to a space creation. This may be the one time you can let your sci-fi freak flag fly without ridicule and without having to go to comi-con. You get to check out art by Elliott Johnson, M, Christopher Blay, Tim Harding and Kris Pierce. DJ JuanSolo is providing the tunes anddd most importnantly OPEN BARRRR what what.

Maybe you can build a date

Ok darlings, as always check out my twitter for events I leave out or find out about later @shastinalynn on twitter. Toodles!
